Kolding's Eagle lands a golden egg
04 Nov 2019
When the Chris Waller-trained Kolding took the honours in the inaugural Golden Eagle at Rosehill, it not only began a new chapter in racing history, it also delivered $410,000 top the National Jockeys Trust to support injured jockeys and their families.
The 1500m $7.5 million feature is Australia's third richest race, with 10% of the prizemoney being donated to the winning owners' charity of choice.
The National Jockeys Trust would like to sincerely thank connections of Kolding for the honour of being their preferred charity, and also Racing NSW for this wonderful initiative.
